HEALTHIGRATION - the positive and indispensible role of immigration in the successful implementation of healthcare reform. You will learn the steps to tap into the readily available pool of foreign physicians to staff a grossly under populated domestic physician workforce that is facing staffing shortages of staggering and alarming proporations. Go to Aronsonimmigration.com to learn more.
MAKING IMMIGRATION WORK FOR YOUR RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION NEEDS

This unique and highly informative two-day seminar will present strategies and hands-on workshops on how to recruit and retain International Physicians, particularly for hard-to-fill placements. While there is a substantial and ever-growing shortage of U.S. physicians to work in the healthcare system, there is a largely untapped reservoir of fully credentialed International Physicians. In fact, nearly 25% of all Medical Residents are foreign physicians. Slowly but surely, our immigration laws are changing to recognize this physician shortage situation and to create new opportunities for International Physicians to obtain visa status so that they can work in the United States. Learn how to analyze/troubleshoot applications from foreign physicians; develop effective J-1 waiver strategies; qualify foreign physician candidates for both temporary and permanent visa status; make the entire immigration process into an effective recruitment and retention tool.

This program will be particularly useful to medical facilities’ managers and executives; HR professionals; physician recruiters; hospital & medical staffing personnel. Also, International Medical Graduates will find this program to be a unique opportunity not only to learn of immigration options, but to see how medical personnel employers deal with the immigration system in their recruitment and retention efforts.

The agenda will include the following topics:

  • Shortages, Shortages Everywhere: Where Do We Get Physician Candidates?
  • Understanding The Fundamentals Of The U.S. Immigration System
  • Waiving Good-Bye To The Two-Year Home Residence Requirement
  • Getting Government Agencies To Sponsor J-1 Waivers
  • Waiver Granted – Now What? H-1b Temporary Worker Status
  • Other Nonimmigrant Visa Options
  • The Golden Spoon Of Permanent Residence
